Anthony wyde (Football, Pacific Northwest Christian college) grew up in Cincinnati. HelloNation asks student athletes one question about the place that raised them and records the answer on camera. This is Anthony wyde’s, in full.
The question
Name three small business owners in your community who have had a meaningful impact on others or inspired you personally. Who are they, and why do they stand out as a pillar of your community?
The answer, as recorded
Transcript. What follows is a transcript of the video above, in Anthony wyde’s own words. It has not been rewritten, and no part of it was drafted for them.
In Cincinnati, Ohio, two small business owners made a major impact on the community. The first one, Alan Woods, he's a co-founded morator. He helped minorities, small businesses, stuff like that. They helped them gain mentorship, training, and opportunities to succeed. He worked with Strengthening Neighborhoods, and he created Pathways. He did a lot of community things for growth with the kids. The second is Kristen Bailey, co-owner of Sweets and Meats BBQ. Her business became more than a restaurant. It was downtown. Downtown started eating it first, and then it started moving up towards the Avondale areas of the city, the west side, and things like that. Both of them stood out and used the business to uplift others. They gave a lot of jobs. A lot of people went through there, and it left a lasting impact on the city.
