The question

Tell us about a teacher or mentor from high school who challenged you the most or inspired you in a way that still shapes who you are today. Who are they, and what lesson from them do you carry into your life now?

The answer, as recorded

Transcript. What follows is a transcript of the video above, in Caleel Meneweather’s own words. It has not been rewritten, and no part of it was drafted for them.

Hey, Halo Nation, this is Khalil Minniewala. I come to you today to give you a story about my mentor and who he is. I have a new mentor and shout out my other mentors, but this mentor has been helping me develop being a better football player, athlete and being a person outside of football. And one thing that he showed me is like the preparation and the ability to go and get it or whoever in front of don't slack or feel like you can't do it because there's no opportunity now. There's no opportunity that's going to let you do something and you can't do it. There's nothing there's nothing about who you are as a person, but it's not always about the excuses. It's all about what you can do during a score 50 without being sick. LeBron didn't finish the game without getting hurt. And he showed me that and that's one thing that I learned and I helped motivate me and I thank him for that. Shout out Coach Kyrie Smith.
