Hello everyone, this is Coen Edmundson reporting for Hello Nation from Monument, Colorado. One of my high school mentors that really inspired me was my high school basketball coach, Coach Benton from Lewis Palmer and Monument. He really helped me to learn a lot of key lessons as I was going through high school basketball. And one thing that really stuck with me was he would always emphasize having fun. And having fun isn't necessarily just goofing off, but working hard. And when we worked hard and brought energy, we would always have more fun. And the practices and games would be more fun and more engaging and things like that. He always mentioned that. And in the middle of the season, working towards the state championship, especially my sophomore year when we were working towards winning the state championship, he would always emphasize that we needed to go have fun as well. Because if we're not having fun, we're not going to play with that confidence and enjoy the game. And sometimes it can be really tiring and also it can wear us down a lot during the season. And we can kind of lose that fun and that joy of playing. And he would always remind us of that and it would help me remember, okay, this is a game, I want to have fun, I want to enjoy it. And I don't want it to eat me alive and to really affect how my attitude is outside of the sport. So when I did that, I also played better and I enjoyed it and I realized how much I enjoy playing basketball. And that it's important to include that in all aspects of life, that having fun isn't necessarily goofing off and not trying, but it's trying and working hard and seeing results and enjoying it with energy and having fun while doing it. This is Cullen Anderson reporting for Hello Nation. Have a good day, everyone.
