If someone had never been to Olympia, Washington, I would describe it as a city that feels deeply connected to both nature and humidity. One thing that makes Olympia unique is the environment around it. There are so many forests, trails, lakes, and national parks nearby, and people spend a lot of time outdoors, whether it's kayaking, running, hiking, or simply just enjoying the scenery, and it's a huge part of everyday life there. It gives the city like a calm, peaceful feeling that honestly is hard to explain until you experience for yourself. Another thing is that Olympia makes memorable in the sense of community and hometown pride. Even though it's not the biggest city, people really support one another, like local sports. An example again, the spaghetti bowl, and really just those moments really make Olympia feel connected and showed how much pride we really have there. I'll also say that it's influential because it teaches people to appreciate balance. Growing up there taught me the importance of slowing down and sometimes enjoying the people around you, taking advantage of the opportunities nature gives you, and Olympia helps shape who I am today by teaching me the value of community, resilience, and staying grounded no matter where I'm at or where life takes me.
