Logan Brown (Football, Langston University) grew up in Oklahoma City. HelloNation asks student athletes one question about the place that raised them and records the answer on camera. This is Logan Brown’s, in full.
The question
If someone had never been to your hometown, how would you describe its character and reputation? What makes it unique, memorable, or influential?
The answer, as recorded
Transcript. What follows is a transcript of the video above, in Logan Brown’s own words. It has not been rewritten, and no part of it was drafted for them.
My name is Logan Brown. I'm from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and if somebody had never been to my hometown, I would describe it as very welcoming. I think everyone here is very kind. It's also known as a very kind city. Everyone's well-driven. It's a very motivated city. I feel like everyone, you know, from where we come from, what we do, everyone's trying to kind of get out, and I feel like that's one of the best things. It's a very motivated city, hard-working. What makes it unique is honestly not even the slow pace, but kind of how the community comes together. It's like everyone knows each other, but it's also a big city, so it's like regardless of who you meet, somebody you know will know them regardless. It's very memorable. I'll say it's a big, small city, so there's a lot of things to do, but also you'll make great memories. You'll meet great friends. It's just very influential to my growing up as well. I feel like this city is very open doors, whereas if you're from here, you can do whatever you want. A lot of cities aren't like that, and they don't hold you back from you being great.
