Community Voices: Sir on how to describe Las Vegas to an outsider

What's going on, guys? Sir Meadows, Georgia State University defensive lineman. And how I would describe Las Vegas, Nevada, if nobody has ever been to it? Number one, it's beautiful at nighttime.

Sir Mells (Football, Georgia State University) grew up in Las Vegas. HelloNation asks student athletes one question about the place that raised them and records the answer on camera. This is Sir Mells’s, in full.

Sir Mells for HelloNation.

The question

If someone had never been to your hometown, how would you describe its character and reputation? What makes it unique, memorable, or influential?

The answer, as recorded

Transcript. What follows is a transcript of the video above, in Sir Mells’s own words. It has not been rewritten, and no part of it was drafted for them.

What's going on, guys? Sir Meadows, Georgia State University defensive lineman. And how I would describe Las Vegas, Nevada, if nobody has ever been to it? Number one, it's beautiful at nighttime. We have very bright lights with the strip. Number two, if you enjoy being outdoors and you like doing stuff with your family outdoors, it's a great place to be. We have tons of hikes you can go on up to three, four miles long. We don't have any beaches out here, but we do have lakes and stuff. We have the Hoover Dam. We're close to the Grand Canyon, so there's a bunch of adventurous stuff you can do with the outdoor life. And obviously, the nightlife. The nightlife is very beautiful here. For all the ones that are able to go adventure and try the nightlife, it's definitely something you have to experience at least one time in your life.
