Tyshon Patty (Baseball, Jackson State University) grew up in Lawrenceville. HelloNation asks student athletes one question about the place that raised them and records the answer on camera. This is Tyshon Patty’s, in full.
The question
What makes your community a great place to raise a family?
The answer, as recorded
Transcript. What follows is a transcript of the video above, in Tyshon Patty’s own words. It has not been rewritten, and no part of it was drafted for them.
Hey guys, it's Tyric and I would say what makes my community family-oriented is when we were younger, our dads used to coach us and just going over each other's house, we used to spend the night, go show up to the ballpark, play with each other and I would say they all instilled in us to just always have each other's back and just when you see one person down, always pick them up and I would just say that that's just big in the community, like just always trying to help one another and I would say our dads, like growing up, that would expect us to, that would help us to raise a family in this type of environment, that's an environment you would want to raise a family in, someone that's always trying to help each other, we always, when we see someone down, we just always try to pick them up and I would say that's good in the Gwinnett County environment.
