What makes the Austin community a great place to raise a family? My grandma moved here from Mississippi. My granddad moved from New York. He's from Puerto Rico, but then he moved to New York, then he moved to Chicago. And they always told me that when you want to start a family, find a house first. And that house, everything in the Austin community is right next to each other. My mom's beauty salon is right next door to my grandma's house. My other grandparents' house is down the street. My school used to be down the street. My high school was down the street. Everything was in a three to five mile radius. It was super close. The community was close. I remember block parties growing up. It used to be a fun time. My mom did fundraisers for the kids when we were growing up. Raising a family in Austin, it builds character. It builds a lot of character. It's a whole bunch of fun just being in that big city, being able to be around everything I want.
