If someone had never been to your hometown, how would you describe its character and reputation? What makes it unique, memorable, or influential?

Hello, I'm Connor Steichen and I play golf at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. If someone had never been to Omaha, Nebraska, I would bet they have thoughts in their head of what it would be like. These thoughts may include things like very flat, not very many things there, and much of corn. Well, they would be very wrong about Omaha. Omaha is actually a big city and it is hilly, but it also has the feeling of a small town because it seems like you know everybody when you are out and around. Omaha has some great attractions that make it memorable, like the Henry Doorly Zoo, it has some great golf courses, and it has a wonderful downtown area with beautiful buildings and wonderful restaurants. If I had to say one thing about Omaha that makes me proud to be here, and what I would say to people, is the sense of community that comes with being in Omaha. It seems as if everybody is there to make your day better and no matter what is going on in your life, you can rely on someone to give you a smile. Thank you.
