Hello, I'm Connor Steichen and I play golf at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. There are many moments where Omaha has came together and made me proud, but one that I can think of is in 2024, my graduating year of high school, when a big tornado hit the city of Omaha and devastated many families. This tornado wiped out some neighborhoods and hit a lot of houses along the way. This is something that affected a lot of people and it was really devastating to the city of Omaha. One thing that made me proud though, was how the community all came together to help out the families in need, whether that was cleaning up, giving them resources they need, even letting them stay at their house for the time being while everything was getting figured out. I am so proud to live in a city and represent a city that is so good to one another and will help out anyone in need, no matter what the situation is. Thank you.
