The first small business that has inspired me is the Montgomery Dive Club for teaching me to do the sport I still continue to do today.

Aidan Wang (Swimming & Diving, Princeton University) grew up in Gaithersburg. HelloNation asks student athletes one question about the place that raised them and records the answer on camera. This is Aidan Wang’s, in full.

The question

Name three small business owners in your community who have had a meaningful impact on others or inspired you personally. Who are they, and why do they stand out as a pillar of your community?

The answer, as recorded

Transcript. What follows is a transcript of the video above, in Aidan Wang’s own words. It has not been rewritten, and no part of it was drafted for them.

The first small business that has inspired me is the Montgomery Dive Club for teaching me to do the sport I still continue to do today. And secondly, another small business that has inspired me is the Potomac Woods Swim & Dive Club, which has provided a summer community for all ages and always fosters a sense of community in the sport of swimming and diving. And lastly, a small business with a strong impact in the community has been the Rockville Montgomery Swim Club, which has provided so much instruction in the sport of swimming to youth athletes.
