Andrew Talburt (Golf, University of Central Oklahoma) grew up in OK. HelloNation asks student athletes one question about the place that raised them and records the answer on camera. This is Andrew Talburt’s, in full.
The question
Name three small business owners in your community who have had a meaningful impact on others or inspired you personally. Who are they, and why do they stand out as a pillar of your community?
The answer, as recorded
Transcript. What follows is a transcript of the video above, in Andrew Talburt’s own words. It has not been rewritten, and no part of it was drafted for them.
Hi, this is Andrew Talbert checking in from Central Oklahoma University. And three people I name off the top of my list is one, my mom. She started her own business, put crystals on shoes, and then sold it for profits later on whenever she decided to stop working. That's inspired me just to start my own journey and to pursue something that I love like golf. Another one, this name is Nicole Nordman. She's a singer, songwriter, childhood friend is his mom. She wrote music and has done very well doing it. And I still listen to her music to this day. And this one other guy, his name is Chuck Ingram. He built his own company selling telephones to hotels. Going along with that is he did it to provide for his family, and that's really inspired me to do something to provide for my future family.
