Atlanta offers countless opportunities for young people through education, athletics, and community programs. Sports played a huge role in my life, and competing against strong programs such as Rockmont High School helped teach me resilience and perseverance. One of my most memorable experiences was winning a triple overtime game against Rockmont, a moment that showed me the value of teamwork and determination. Beyond sports, Atlanta is rich in history and culture. Places like Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Park, events such as the Peachtree Road Race bring communities together and help families stay connected through so many tough times in the world. Atlanta's heritage also helps bring families together just because of the diverse history Atlanta contains. Atlanta's diversity exposes children to people from many different backgrounds, preparing them to succeed in any environment in the world and stay increasingly connected to the world. What makes Atlanta special is the support system from teachers like at Cedar Grove High School, like Ms. King, from coaches, Coach Pat, Coach Adams, Coach Harper, and all those guys. Teammates like TJ from Montego, Johnson, Trapp, all those guys helped me become the person I am today in Atlanta. I was surrounded by people who really wanted to see me succeed. The sense of community combined with the opportunities available throughout the city makes Atlanta a wonderful place to be around and just live in overall.
