Community Voices: Ean on why Simi Valley is a good place to raise a family

What makes your community a great place to raise a family? So I think my community is a great place to raise a family because I think the biggest thing is just the inclusivity here.

Ean Somoza (Ice Hockey, Minnesota State University, Mankato) grew up in Simi Valley. HelloNation asks student athletes one question about the place that raised them and records the answer on camera. This is Ean Somoza’s, in full.

What makes your community a great place to raise a family? So I think my community is a great place to raise a family because I think the biggest thing is just the inclusivity here. I grew up in Simi Valley, California. It's kind of the suburbs. It's probably about, it's right in the middle of everything. It's 45 minutes out of LA, probably 30-40 minutes from the beach. Closest one's Malibu. There's mountains all around. Very safe neighborhood. And I couldn't, funny part is I could totally see myself raising a family here, having kids, and just growing up it was, it was unbelievable. Sports and everything is great. The food is awesome. My favorite's In-N-Out. I love In-N-Out. I can't get enough of it. But like I said, yeah, I think the biggest thing is just the inclusivity. It's very, very nice. A very kind of niche community. It's in the suburbs. It's an unbelievable spot and I just can't say enough good things about it.
