Community Voices: Hanna on what NY gets right

Main Street in the town of Canavagua is absolutely beautiful. It's filled with all these cute little boutiques and small businesses.

Hanna Davis (Lacrosse, Syracuse University) grew up in NY. HelloNation asks student athletes one question about the place that raised them and records the answer on camera. This is Hanna Davis’s, in full.

Hanna Davis for HelloNation.

The question

Tell us about the downtown or Main Street in your hometown — the town you grew up in, not your college town. What's there, what's changed? Name the places you'd point a visitor to, and tell us what's different from when you were growing up.

The answer, as recorded

Transcript. What follows is a transcript of the video above, in Hanna Davis’s own words. It has not been rewritten, and no part of it was drafted for them.

Main Street in the town of Canavagua is absolutely beautiful. It's filled with all these cute little boutiques and small businesses. And some things that have changed since I've been growing up has been a lot of Main Street is now turning into restaurants. Restaurants are spreading up and down Main Street, so some of the small local businesses and boutiques are starting to close down. And really good restaurants are starting to pop up. Some of the places that I love to visit are Kicks on Main, Eddie O'Brien's, and another small boutique called Kiki's Den.
