Isaiah Cull (Basketball, MidAmerica Nazarene University) grew up in Shawnee Mission. HelloNation asks student athletes one question about the place that raised them and records the answer on camera. This is Isaiah Cull’s, in full.
The question
If someone had never been to your hometown, how would you describe its character and reputation? What makes it unique, memorable, or influential?
The answer, as recorded

I'm Isaiah Cole and I'm a junior basketball player at Mid-America Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas. For someone who has never visited Olathe before, I would describe it as very community-oriented and welcoming for many families around. As it's a suburb and upcoming city, it tends to just keep on growing while also staying close-knit to each other. One way it's very unique is it has a bunch of safe schools, again, close community to each other, and the strong relationships you build in this community go a long way as people are constantly giving back. And when you're out in public, you'll just notice how nice people are, and it's pretty surprising to a lot of people as well. Also, for some people visiting Kansas, they might think it's a lot of farm lambs, but really when they visit Olathe, it's much more than that and much more developed. There's lots of local businesses and communities for those foodies out there, and they'll have a great time.
