One moment that really stands out in Georgetown, Texas is the way the community shows up for local events, specifically things in the downtown Georgetown Square, like the Georgetown Palace Theater and different farmer's markets. When I'm at those farmer's markets, it's not just about the shopping, it's about local farmers, small businesses, different shops and pop-ups all in the same place that bring the community together in one central space. You see people catching up and talking on the sides, speaking to vendors like they've known them for years and just being a part of something together. It gives downtown Georgetown this very connected and hometown feel that I think is extremely special. And it's a moment that brings the community all together. I also think it's very cool when I see people doing community service acts, like cleaning up the sides of the highways or different places in Wolf Ranch or down I-35. I think that's a really special moment and things that people in Georgetown do to give back to their community and it makes me proud to be a resident.
