Community Voices: Matthew on the time Westport came together

One moment that made me really proud of my hometown was during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. Even though it was a difficult time, the Westport community came together in incredible ways.

One moment that made me really proud of my hometown was during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. Even though it was a difficult time, the Westport community came together in incredible ways. Local businesses adapted to support residents, neighbors looked out for one another, and volunteers organized food drives and fundraising efforts for families in need. Seeing people put aside their own challenges to help others show me what community is really about. It reminded me that no matter the circumstances, Westport is a town where people genuinely care for one another and are willing to step up when it matters most.
