Quentin Robertson (Basketball, Nebraska Wesleyan University) grew up in Shawnee Mission. HelloNation asks student athletes one question about the place that raised them and records the answer on camera. This is Quentin Robertson’s, in full.
The question
If someone had never been to your hometown, how would you describe its character and reputation? What makes it unique, memorable, or influential?
The answer, as recorded
Transcript. What follows is a transcript of the video above, in Quentin Robertson’s own words. It has not been rewritten, and no part of it was drafted for them.
What's up guys, my name is Quinton Robertson, and I'm from Overland Park, Kansas. If you've never been to Overland Park, I'd describe it as somewhere that just feels right. Nothing is moving too fast, but also not feeling too slow. Everything just feels balanced. It's not like a big city where it's just chaotic all the time, but it's also not like a small town where there's nothing to do. What makes it stand out to me is how consistent everything feels. The people, the environment, the pace of life. Everything just feels steady and homey. It might not be the flashiest place, but it's somewhere that will definitely stick with you. I'm Quinton Robertson, and that's how I would describe Overland Park.
