I remember one moment that made me feel really proud of Houston was seeing how the community came together after the hurricanes and flooding. Flooding affected many families. During my time around Houston and through my experience as a Division I tennis player at the University of Houston, I saw people were like volunteering, donating food and supplies, and helping others even if they did not know them personally. People from different cultures and backgrounds came together with one goal, which was helping the community recover. Seeing everyone support each other made me realize that Houston is more than just a city. It is a place where people truly care for one another and come together during difficult times.
