There's been multiple moments where my community came together and have made me proud. Where my hometown came together for one specific purpose and accomplished a goal. But I want to speak about firsthand experiences. When I was in middle school, I attended Oslo Middle and I also played for Sun Devils, which was our hometown travel ball team. They didn't conflict against each other. It was always in the offseason where I would play for the Sun Devils travel team. Unfortunately, my head coach of the middle school did not like the organization of Sun Devils, so he took it upon himself to take back all the gear he gave me so I couldn't play in the offseason with the Sun Devils. Once my hometown found out about this, they didn't go directly to him. They went directly to me and asked me what I needed to play. And I think about this moment all the time because they didn't hesitate to help me. People like Coach O'Brien, again, people like Coach Bailey, people like Rip Pratt, and so many more figures came together and got me gear so I can continue to keep playing. And without people like them in my life, I wouldn't be playing at a high level in college. I wouldn't play in high school. So I think about moments like that all the time and there's been so many moments I could talk about where my community or my hometown has come together, but I really want to show you guys a firsthand experience that I had when it came to my hometown making me proud. Thank you.
