Community Voices: Tatum on why Celina is a good place to raise a family

Salina is a great area to raise a family because whether it be a friend who lives nearby or someone you meet on a daily basis, there's always going to be someone to walk you through whatever stage of life that…

Salina is a great area to raise a family because whether it be a friend who lives nearby or someone you meet on a daily basis, there's always going to be someone to walk you through whatever stage of life that you're going through right now. Whether it be a trial, someone's going to have an ear to listen to you and to help you out with your problems. Or it be a good time, say in sports, your education, or anything like that. Someone's always there to talk to you and lend an ear. That's what I love about Salina. They were so welcoming. When I moved here as a freshman, I didn't know anybody but just a couple people that my family knew. And it's such a blessing to be able to have people reach out and want to personally know who I am outside of sports and outside of school. People through my job, throughout the community, wherever you go, whether it be a restaurant, a small business, there's always someone who wants to start a conversation and make you feel welcome to Salina. And I think that's a huge part of the faithful environment that has been built over the past decades of Salina being here in Texas. And I think it's a great opportunity to tell other families about this because as a growing community in Salina that keeps growing and growing as one of the fastest cities growing in Texas, I think it's important to let people know what they're getting into and they're getting into a great faith-based and loving environment that Salina has to offer. Thank you.
