Community Voices: Khevarus on the GA that raised them

everybody? My name is Kavaris Dawson. Today I want to talk about a business from my hometown called NG3.

Khevarus Dawson (Basketball, Reinhardt University) grew up in GA. HelloNation asks student athletes one question about the place that raised them and records the answer on camera. This is Khevarus Dawson’s, in full.

Khevarus Dawson for HelloNation.

The question

Tell us about a business that matters to your hometown — the town you grew up in, not your college town. Not just that it's there, but what it does for the people around it and why it's worth knowing about.

The answer, as recorded

Transcript. What follows is a transcript of the video above, in Khevarus Dawson’s own words. It has not been rewritten, and no part of it was drafted for them.

What's up, everybody? My name is Kavaris Dawson. Today I want to talk about a business from my hometown called NG3. And it's a faith-based business that helps with the athletes in the local high school and middle schools. And they really help with the athletics a lot. And they're more than just sponsors. They make sure you're fed. Sometimes they provide transportation. They mentor the kids and they ultimately help us. They helped — well, for me, they helped me grow my faith and grow my relationship with God a lot. And a memory I have from NG3 is I remember one time I helped lead a camp that they were hosting where they took some kids out to a lake. And just that experience with them, like helping those kids have a good time and supervising them and making sure that they were OK and were fed and just enjoyed themselves. They reminded me when I was a kid. And I was in their shoes. And they're just a very great business that just leans a lot on helping kids grow their faith and just taking care of the community. I feel like they're a business that has a lot of recognition back at home, but should have a lot of recognition outside of home as well.
