Community Voices: Khevarus on what GA gets right

today I want to highlight one of my former teammates. His name is Joel, and he has his own clothing brand, Static Lifestyles.

Khevarus Dawson (Basketball, Reinhardt University) grew up in GA. HelloNation asks student athletes one question about the place that raised them and records the answer on camera. This is Khevarus Dawson’s, in full.

Khevarus Dawson for HelloNation.

The question

Tell us about a person or business doing something worth knowing about in your hometown — the town you grew up in, not your college town. Who are they, what are they doing, and why should people outside your hometown hear about it?

The answer, as recorded

Transcript. What follows is a transcript of the video above, in Khevarus Dawson’s own words. It has not been rewritten, and no part of it was drafted for them.

Hello, today I want to highlight one of my former teammates. His name is Joel, and he has his own clothing brand, Static Lifestyles. Watching it from high school to now, he's definitely grown and expanded his inventory a lot. He's very creative, and I feel like people outside of our hometown should know about him because, for one, his business has reached a lot of people. They've talked about his brand on YouTube, on podcasts, and talked about how different it is, and how did he even come up with the idea. Just giving him a lot of recognition, a lot of high praise. So I believe that a lot of people outside of our hometown should know about him for real, and just help put him on the map. Because he's a young kid, just doing something to provide for him and his family. So with that all being said, I feel like everybody should go shop Static Lifestyles today, like right now.
